Itinerary for Sandhan Valley Fireflies Camping 2026

Day 1: Saturday

• 02:00 pm: Meet the Team at Kasara station and move towards Samrad Village by local transport
• 06:00 pm: Reach Base village – Samrad, base village of Sandhan Valley Fireflies Camping 2026 freshen up
• 06:30 pm: Have evening snacks
• 06:45 pm: Introduction round and brief on rules and regulations to be followed by everyone at the event
• 07:30 pm: Visit Kokankada and go for the jungle trails and see fireflies
• 09:30 pm: Dinner time; enjoy local cuisines specially cooked for us. Lots of fun.
• 10:30 pm: Games and lots of fun. If tired, you can retire and take a rest in a tent.

Day 2: Sunday

• 06:00 am: Wake up call, freshen up
• 06:30 am: Have a garma-garam breakfast at the campsite
• 07:00 am: Explore some part of Sandhan Valley and Rappelling
• 10:00 am: Back to the Village
• 10:30 am: Start return journey towards Kasara by local transport
• 02:40 pm: Reach Mumbai and bid adieu with a promise to meet soon

Day 1: Departure for Sandhan Valley Fireflies Festival 2026

Journey to the Fireflies Festival: Camping at Sandhan Valley

• En route lunch break at a local restaurant (TTMM—at your own expense)

• Drive through scenic routes of the Western Ghats toward Sandhan Valley, one of the best places for fireflies camping near Mumbai.

Arrival at Campsite:

• 05:00 PM – Arrive at the Sandhan Valley Fireflies Festival campsite

• 05:30 PM – Tent Allotment

• 06:00 PM – Settle into your tented accommodation by the lake

• 06:30 PM – Sip on hot tea with biscuits while soaking in the peaceful sunset view

 Fireflies Experience:

• 08:00 PM – Step into a fairytale world as thousands of fireflies light up the night – an unforgettable natural phenomenon!

• 10:00 PM – Enjoy a traditional dinner under the starry sky

• 11:30 PM—Retire into your tents or continue with storytelling sessions and fun games around the campfire

💡 Note: In case of rain, indoor shared accommodations (separate for men and women) will be provided instead of tents.

Day 2: Return Journey

• 06:30 AM: Wake-up call with hot breakfast and tea

• 07:30 AM: Begin your trek to Sandhan Valley, one of the best trekking spots in Maharashtra

• 08:00 AM–11:00 AM: Explore the valley, relax, and enjoy the breathtaking views

• 11:00 AM: Trek back to the base village

• 12:30 PM: Return and enjoy a hearty local lunch

• 02:30 PM: Depart for Mumbai by Ac bus

• 06:00 PM—Return to Borivali, Mumbai, marking the end of a magical fireflies camping trip in Sandhan Valley

Note: As Sandhan valley has few camping options, we will give you tent stay or homestay in the Village

• Dear Rangers, always remember SHOES are your best companions on a trek! Please wear a good pair of trekking shoes and not sports or running shoes. Make sure they are durable and firm enough to withstand tough conditions. You can carry floaters to wear only after the trek is completed. Feel free to contact the trek leader before the trek in case of any confusion.

• 75% refund if notified via phone conversation 8 or more days prior to the event date.
• 50 % refund if notified via phone conversation 4 to 7 days prior to the event date.
• No refund if the cancellation requested is less than 3 days prior to the event date
• Event tickets cannot be transferred to another date against cancellation.
• Event tickets can be transferred to another person against cancellation.
